My Story

Hi, I'm Akanksha โ€” Clinical Dietitian & Nutrition Consultant

I believe that nutrition should be practical, evidence-based, and deeply personal. My goal is not just to prescribe a diet โ€” it is to educate, motivate, and support every person throughout their wellness journey.

With over 8 years of experience across clinical settings โ€” including Allopathy, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy โ€” I combine scientific rigour with a holistic approach that meets patients where they are, not where a textbook says they should be.

My Approach

Evidence-Based Clinical science drives every recommendation
Indian Food First Dal, roti, sabzi โ€” not meal replacements
Holistic & Integrative Allopathy, Ayurveda & Naturopathy combined
Educate & Empower Teaching clients to understand their nutrition
No Crash Diets. Ever. Sustainable habits, not short-term restriction

The Story Behind EatDietly

Why I Chose Nutrition

It Started in a Hospital Setting

During my clinical internship at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, I saw first-hand how powerful the right nutrition advice could be โ€” and how devastating the wrong advice (or no advice at all) could be. Patients with diabetes, liver disease, and kidney conditions were being discharged with a diagnosis and a medication, but no practical guidance on what to actually eat.

The Gap Nobody Was Bridging

The textbook said "avoid high-GI foods." The patient ate only dal-chawal and roti at home. Nobody had bridged that gap. That became my professional mission.

Indian Food Is Not the Problem

After 8+ years working across Allopathy, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy clinics, I kept seeing the same pattern: patients being told what to stop eating, never what to keep or adjust. The assumption was always that Indian home food was the obstacle. I believe the opposite โ€” Indian home food, understood correctly and portioned appropriately, is one of the most nutritionally complete cuisines in the world. The problem is not the food. It is the lack of personalised guidance around it.

Why EatDietly Exists

EatDietly was built on one belief: that sustainable nutrition should fit into your life, not replace it. Every plan I create is designed to work with your Indian kitchen, your family meals, your schedule, and your specific health picture โ€” because a plan you can actually follow will always outperform a perfect plan you abandon in week three.

"My goal is not just to prescribe a diet. It is to help every person I work with understand their own body, build confidence around food, and create habits that last a lifetime โ€” not just until the next blood test."
